About the Mexican-American History Maker: Ana Valdez was born and raised in Mexico City and has a business degree from Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM) and a master’s degree in international relations from Instituto Ortega y Gasset in Madrid, Spain.

Ana is a high-level executive and thought leader, combining experience in politics, corporate and media. Today, she serves as the executive director of the Latino Donor Collaborative and as a principal and co-founder of Valdez Productions & Consulting, Inc. She has been able to use her hard-earned blend of business and nonprofit experience to achieve her lifelong dream of empowering the Latino community.

She works every day to create a realistic image of the American Latino community nationwide. Ana and her team at the Latino Donor Collaborative accomplish this by partnering with top universities and think tanks to present information that clearly shows the importance of Latinos for the economy and growth of the U.S., and by partnering with media and PR giants to distribute such information. Additionally, the LDC has developed close partnerships with ad agencies and content creators to create realistic portrayals of Hispanics in media, avoid stereotypes and show the kind of impact our community can have at all levels.
